We would like to welcome our new Safety and Security Sales Representative for Turkey.

Batuhan Yurddaş is 39 years and is married, has a daughter and lives in Istanbul, Turkey.

He is a graduate from Eastern Mediterranean University and speaks Turkish (mother tongue) and English.

Batuhan has a long experience from safety and security market especially within defence industry.

ATECH®, the Arla Plast ABS range now includes a new pin seal texture

The ATECH® product portfolio is extended with the development of a new texture. The new texture is numbered n42 and is actually deeper and more enhanced pin seal texture. We already have in our portfolio n40 structure which is rather smooth.

Strengthen Customer Service Team

We are pleased to inform you that we have strengthen our Customer Service team with Mrs Helena Camarda.

Helena is 36 years, and has just moved to Borensberg with her Italian husband and their 4 children. In her spare time Helena enjoys reading, outdoor activities, spending time with family & friends and travelling.

She has earlier been living and working in Italy during 8 years.

She speaks Swedish, Italian, French, English and some German.

Helena has during the last years worked with Customer Service at PerkinElmer (Italy), Vattenfall and Ericsson.

New Technician for product development

We welcome Mr. Gunnar Henriksson as the new technician for product development at Arla Plast AB. Gunnar will focus on product development and find new applications and markets.

Mr Henriksson is 42 years old and a Swedish citizen, currently living locally in Motala with his wife, two daughters and a son.

In his latest position before joining Arla Plast AB he was working for a local Aluminium Profile manufacturer as Maintenance Technician/Engineer. Previously he worked as Design Engineer in Vadstena.

He has experience of ISO 9000, efficiency system TPM/TPS and Genesis based on the principles of Toyota Production System, Machine Safety, order design in 2D and 3D CAD etc.

Increased MULTICLEAR® capacity

We are proud to announce investments in a new production line of MULTICLEAR Multiwall polycarbonate (PC) sheets in Kadan, Czech Republic. This will now be the third production line at the ever growing site. There will also be investments in complimenting dies to increase and support efficiency of current product portfolio.

Protecting the environment is a top priority for us and a part of our business strategy

At Arla Plast we acknowledge that our operations have an impact on the environment and actively work to minimise it.

The processes that we work with are purchasing, transportation, production, office and building maintenance, storage and marketing. Within each process, we have compiled the strengths and weaknesses which form a picture of the current situation. On this basis, we have prepared an Environmental Action Plan which will be followed up within a year.

The entire personnel of Arla Plast AB are undergoing an environmental education. Pirjo Isaksson Lundberg, quality coordinator and responsable for the environment at Arla Plast, says "It is important to involve the whole company in this process. Everyone has been asked to suggest improvements and 70 proposals which we evaluate and implement already came from the personnel. We look forward to deepen our knowledge in this area and we strive to be at the forefront of these issues."

Radka Peterson was recently appointed Process Control Manager at Arla Plast in Borensberg. Her responsibilities include measuring actual performance of each process, comparing these measurements with established performance standards and taking corrective action if required to ensure all Arla Plast products meet the highest quality standards.

Anna Thörnqvist - New receptionist at Arla Plast AB

When you call Arla Plast switch board in Borensberg you will be greeted by our new receptionist Anna Thörnqvist. Anna is 28 and lives in Motala with her boyfriend. During her free time Anna and her twin sister Elin have passion for horses and they are most likely to be at the stables in Borensberg looking after their horses. Anna is a grand-daughter to Arne Larsson, founder of Arla Plast. Before working at Arla Plast Anna has been working as a horse-shoer at the stables.

Arla Plast AB is promoting the O8000 which is a PP based Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE), also known as Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO). The product combines the high impact strength of a rubber with the stability and processability of a thermoplastic product.

This is the latest product to enrich the Arla Plast extended transparent polycarbonate portfolio. The product brings the next generation of heat management in buildings.

COLORADO™ UV SOLAR CONTROL SG offers transparency not usually associated with solar control or heat reflecting products. The product has a green tint hence named SG referring to Silica Green colour well know in the glazing industry.

MULTICLEAR SOLAR CONTROL GREY, WHITE AND SG (silica green)

With MULTICLEAR® SOLAR CONTROL GREY, WHITE and SG (Silica Green), Arla Plast introduces three new products to its well-established high-quality extruded multiwall sheet range. Both give designers and specifiers increased versatility when choosing polycarbonate multiwall sheets for light transparency and solar control.

The addition of heat-reflective pigment to SOLAR CONTROL GREY to the multiwall sheet provides a completely new look and serves as a cost-effective alternative to the infrared-reflective pigment used in SOLAR CONTROL SG. Unlike most other sheets that can only be treated on one side, our both products can be used for two-sided UV protection applications. The SOLAR CONTROL WHITE is based on customer request for an opal to white surface appearance and this concept is one side UV as the solar control pigment is only on one side.

MULTICLEAR™ SOLAR CONTROL Transparent provides pleasant ambiance by allowing greater light transmission compared to standard tinted products whilst keeping the infra-red heat out if the heat inside the glazed building is over-bearing.

This obviously reduces air conditioning and hence energy costs which impacts on the environment. The product is aesthetically pleasing once glazed due to its transparency.
