A scientific test performed by an international accredited test laboratory proves that MAKROLIFE® sheet from Arla Plast is the best option and safest choice for sound walls which reduces noise from road traffic.
The crash tests were made with impact body 400 kg at speed 19,5 km/h on a 12mm thick MAKROLIFE® polycarbonate sheet and it passed the test with perfect results and without any damage.
Other materials were tested and 20mm PMMA sheet was completely broken created sharp dangerous fragments. The tests were carried out in order to determine the characteristics of falling fragments as a consequence of a strong impact on the sheet. The tests were made according to standard EN 1794-2 Test of secondary safety.
